film developing(?) marks

So, just when I think I've got it sorted, it bites me in the ass.

I just developed two rolls in a 2 reel tank, developed as usual, and I get these line pairs on it? Its from the inside of the reel, so they line up over each other. Its on both rolls, but larger on the one on the bottom. Its unlikely to be a light leek coming off the bulk roll, they were done at different times. I'm thinking something happened during development, but what? Both films went onto the reels easily as usual, so I don't think it jumped out of the tracks? Could the films have been touching somehow? Or the solution was flowing funnily?

Any help would be great.

That's fogging, probably due to a leaky cassette. You can also see 'stress damage' and broken sprockets–all done before processing.

No, it is definitely a light leak.

If the film were touching, those spots would be under developed (too light or clear) and/or under fixed (opaque emulsion present or milky looking). Black is exposure (light, heat, chemical fogging...).

I don't think it could be a leaking cassette as the marks are too far apart. It either happened in the bulk loader or in the developing tank. I've seen such fogging from both. A small hairline crack in a plastic developing tank should cause this type of mark as could a faulty light trap in a bulk loader.

Wrap the film in a circle aligning the marks and you will see the diameter of the coil at the time it was fogged. That is a possible guide to finding out where the film was when fogged.

Its in the middle of the reel, so the option could be a crack in the centre column of the tank? I can't see any, and it would have to be cracked in both the centre column of the tank and on the reels.
The middle of the reel aligns with the outside of the cassette, and the circumference fits that better - so I'm thinking it happened before development. It was quite hot and I was a bit sweaty when I loaded them, could it be that touching the films here with hot sweaty hands between taking it out of the cassette and loading it onto the reels (I probably did) could cause this?
In the original pic, the bottom of the pic corresponds to the start of the roll - outside of cassette.
