Apologies if this is the wrong sub forum, but I will be specifically using this film with my Rolleiflex this fall.

What are all of your choices for shooting fall color? I'm looking for some recommendations for color print film...no slides. I'll be taking a trip up to Door County in Wisconsin in a few weeks and want to make sure I'm prepared :)

Thanks!
Patrick

Reala or Ektar.

(Says the echo... ;) )

Seriously, those are the best choices right now. If you go with Ektar, run a roll or two first & see if your lab can deal with it. My local Walgreens does a nice job with it; the camera shop across town doesn't. It's also got about as much latitude as slide film in my experience. Looks wonderful when right but can get off really easily from that as well.

Reala seems to be less fussy in developement and has a more typical C41 latitude.

Either will do nicely up in Door county. Gotta budget in some Reala this fall...

I have to agree about Ektar. In fact I have a roll of it in my Rollei now. It's my second with this camera and I've not got the first processed yet but I like the 35mm version very much and so have good expectations from the 120.

Thanks for the responses! I'll be sure to try Ektar and Reala and will probably slip some Velvia in there also :)

I only use Kodak 400 VC in my Rollei and other cameras. I benefit from the extra 2 ISO stops. Am I stupid not to use Ektar?

I dislike reala, too mild color-wise, washed out to me, but you might enjoy the muted colors, apparently good for white peoples' faces, the so called skin colors ...

But 400 ISO has it in for me ...

And if using velvia, try velvia 50. Absolutely amazing. I also used to like Kodak 100 and 400 ultracolor, but the film is out of production now I believe. Only used ektar 100 once, so I would recommend Reala 100, a very good film.

kodak 400 or 160 NC

Ektar since the slight red shift will emphasize fall color.

If you need more speed, Portra 400VC.

While I love Provia and Velvia - they are a bit much when the scene is already so vibrant, imo.
