Film for the Med

Im taking my Cannonet 1.9 to Spain, then to the zoo and to finish supper. Ha Ha.

Any suggestions on a good all round film to use in mainly the Med area of Spain for
seascapes and mountain views with some white washed villages thrown in for good measure.

Also will I have to adjust exposure manually when photographing for instance white washed buildings rather than relying on the inbuilt meter, any advice will be gratefully recieved. 😉

Get an incident light meter and shoot away, color or BW!

I spent six months in the "Med" when I was a Marine, stunning place with great people.

The most important tip I can give you is to stay away from the beer they call "San Miguel", it'll give you a righteous headache the next morning, cured only by drinking more San Miguel (it's a vicious cycle) 😉.

I'd go for a 400 ASA film and shoot it at an EI of around 160 to 250 (at most) - and adjust dev. times accordingly; this will give you ample shadow detail, and tame the extreme contrasts found under a bright sun; it will also allow for some exposure errors, and let you use faster speeds for shooting without a tripod.
And I'd take a yellow-green filter for the land- and seascapes.

I drink the Cruz Campo , do you have any suggestions on film for best colour balance.
My family have had a house there for 20 yrs , this time Im going to take some measured and thought through photographs rather than just snaps.
