I have quite a bit of film in my freezer at home. I want to take some out and want to know how long do you folks defrost it before you load the camera with it? Do you take it out of the bag its in in the freezer and just set it out or
also put it in another bag to defrost? How many rolls should I take at one time, I probably won't be using more than 3 rolls at one time.TIA.🙂

If they're in the plastic containers, then I'll take a couple out and let them warm up (they aren't literally frozen, fyi) for about 1.5 hours or so. I also usually put them in small bags of 3-5 containers, with 3-5 small bags inside of a big freezer bag. This way, I take out a small bag and let that warm up.

If you're in a hurry, you can probably take one out of the freezer and put it in your pocket and shoot within 45 minutes. I don't do that often, though - I try to keep a sufficient supply in the fridge with my "bulk" supplies in the freezer.

I figure the freezer is longer-term storage, and as needed I cycle small packages of rolls out of the freezer section into the fridge. For use in the near future I'll take film from the fridge to go into the camera bag. I like to let it warm up to ambient temp over night or at least a couple hours. I'm concerned about moisture condensation on cold surfaces if the film cannister or foil pack is opened right away. Sounds like I'm on an essentially similar track as Allan...

I'd move from freezer to fridge for overnight, then out of the fridge for a couple hours the next day.

People I've spoken to give it 48hr's from the freezer to shoot. That way all condensation is lifted. I shoot with film from the fridge within a couple hours.
