Correct, still, some announcements are premature, Twain was still around to make the comment and film remains here to make images.

What's funny is that if there really was an image on this piece of film, there would be a chance to recover some of it, but if this was a CD or DVD there would most likely be no way to save anything on it, especially is the backside coating is scratched.

So which one is really dead?

Point & Shoot cameras do have their place...

...I just wish that everyone who owns/uses one, also owned/used a film camera.

Looks to be a piece of undeveloped film. So it would be dead... dead as dead can be.

A scratched CD or DVD is easily recoverable..
