This documentary is streaming on Netflix at the moment.
It's highly entertaining and I recommend anyone interested in Street photography take a look.
It's about Street fashion Photographer Bill Cunningham.
He is a character to no end and there are many other interesting and humorous characters in the film. All real people! Very good stuff.

I've seen this and hardily agree. It is well worth the time. Bill has such a unique view on life as a "society" and fashion photographer.

Definitely worth seeing but it is a bit sad. You see a wonderfully charming guy that has great passion for what he's doing but at the same time you get the feeling that there has been no other passion in his life. He seems to be terribly uncomfortable with his homosexuality and you get the impression that he hasn't had a very fulfilling life outside of photography.

This is the second time this has come across my attention. The first was a few weeks ago when someone at a wedding recommended it to me. I will definitely check this out.

I bumped into him in New York last summer. The movie really bothered him and it's causing him a lot of unwanted attention when he's out there working.

As long as you are happy out there shooting, that's all it matters. A lot of people don't even get a moment of happiness in their daily lives.

Don't expect to watch it thinking you'll get anything out of it photographically.

I had a smile on my face the whole time 'cause Bill is a truly amazing character. That's what the documentary is about -not photography, not his Nikon, not film...just a guy and his ironic love for fashion amid his humble lifestyle that was being uprooted and nearly leaving him homeless. I thought it would be more about photography, but at the end of it, I was glad it was more about his character than his photographs. I recommend it to anyone and everyone.
