Dear friends, I am new to RF cameras so I hope you can help me.
Recently I purchased a wonderful FED3B, and now I have a question about film rewinding. The user's manual (I have found the English version on the web) says that shutter must be released before rewinding: How should I do if, after the last shot, the wind lever stops half way? May you suggest the correct way to rewind film, step by step? Thanks for your help, and best greetings from Italy

i dont have fed 3 but on other fsu cameras u have to rotate outer ring on shutter. it will screw in to a body a little and your film is ready for rewinding. i dont know if this helps you. try and tell if that works.

Put the cap/your palm on the lens. Press the shutter release. Set the camera into rewind. Rewin film using the rewind knob.

On my FED 3 you turn the ring around the shutter release clockwise, which moves the mark on the ring so it is next to the letter B. You can now rewind the film. When you want to load a new roll, move the ring counterclockwise which will put the mark next to the letter C. My FED 3 has a film advance lever and if it is flush against the camera it covers the letters B and C so if you don't see them, so move the lever as if you were advancing the film and then you should see them.

2. Turn the "rewind ring" clock wise towards B.
3. Rewind your film.

The last roll of film on my Zorki stopped halfway while winding, and I just rewound without pressing the shutter first. Still seems to work okay. But in the future, I'll keep in mind that I should release the shutter first.
