I just scored a very nice first-generation ( no flash sync ! ) Ansco Automatic Reflex, which contains a bonus: a roll of Kodacolor II film, already threaded-up, and when I wound the crank, cued-up to #1. 😀

I plan on shooting out the roll, just to see what I get.

Does anyone here know / remember what ASA Kodacolor II -120 was back in the 1970's - 1980's ?

Should I down-grade the ASA setting on the meter a step or two to compensate for any loss of sensitivity ?

Thanks ! 🙂

At that age there will be both some speed loss and some age/heat fog. I would suggest that you intentionally overexpose the images to compensate.

As Spavinaw correctly noted, the ISO was most likely 80, although it might have been a very late roll rated at 100. Kodacolor II was never rated higher. The only faster Kodacolor films had their ISO speed as part of their names. I would suggest exposing it at EI 40-50.

Thanks for all the replies... in the excitement of unwrapping a new toy, I forgot all about the possibilities of a Google Search.

Since today is not a particularly nice day ( cold and rainy ), I might dig-out my changing-bag, remove the film, and wind it back onto the spool, read what is printed on the leader tab, then re-load and go forth.

I will shoot at ASA 50.
