On my Zenobia 645, film spools with the raised lip on the outer circumference won't fit into the body without filing down the lip. These, so far, have been the plastic spools with the "+" hole pattern in the flanges. If I file the lip off, the spools do fit. Is this a normal situation? So far, I have tried Arista and Ilford. Metal spools, with the round hole, seem OK. Any help is appreciated.

If it makes any difference; I forgot to mention that this body has the Neo Hespar/Daiichi-Rapid combo.

I have a Zenobia with the Hesper lens.
No issues here. Pull down the metal knobs on the bottom and the spool slides in without any issues. Once in, it has about half a cm of freedom of movement up and down.

Brian, I guess mine must be a little different than yours. Since posting this, I have heard from a number of Zenobia owners that have encountered this same situation. It seems to occur only on the newer bodies, and the only solution is to file the lip of the film spool.

Wow, I had no idea. Mine would be one of the mid generation ones since it has the Hesper lens... I guess I got lucky.
