how many of you film users are processing your film yourself?
or sending it out?
just curious.

processing my own black and white..color gets processed by the legitimate nearby photo store.
mixing xtol aint too hard and i like not having to drive somewhere else to see the results.

B+W 100% home processed except XP2
E6 100% home processed unless I am in a big city with labs (last time: Beijing 2006).
C41 currently 100% trade processed until I get some more Tetenal C41 chemistry.
Cheers,
R.

I am processing all b+w medium and large format color at home and about 50% of the 35mm color. The other half is doene at the drugstore. Thinking about E6 now...

Black and White at home for the past 10 months or so, and I just started doing color at home as well. C-41 using the Unicolor kit. As I type this I am scanning some ektar 100 that I processed at home, and so far it looks as good as anything the local drug store would process.

costco for the 35mm. looking for someone who can do 120 cheaply (my costco doesnt') and my nearest walmart no longer does 1-hr.
thinking about going back to do b&w myself. it's been a long time (at least 25 years), but I keep reading posts from fellow rff'rs who've rediscovered great joy in doing it at home. of course, if I do that, I will need to buy a real film scanner. this could be my project for 2010.

A little of both for me, my friend has a great little darkroom setup for b&w. In Toronto I either use West Camera or Image Works since they do it in-house.

Do all my b&w in the kitchen and then scan the results. An enlarger has been in the mix for a couple of months, but I've yet to actually try printing something.
Contrary to the usual admonitions, I'm playing around with different films and different developers.
Color -- C41 or E6 -- go to a local minilab.
