Finally! A bold artist with a camera!

Apologies for going into the gear side of things, but this jumped out at me,

Shows some serious issues in the sky from the X1D, I'm very surprised to see that, even with the very heavy PP.

Edit: actually a lot of the skies look very noisy, giving me the following scenarios:

1. He's cranking the ISO way way up there
2. He's shooting Jpeg and the heavy post processing is bringing the artifacts to the fore
3. He's blowing out channels in post
4. The performance is surprising

...... Here is an interesting photographer who is creating his own body of work in his own style. It is bold! It is.... really something! I applaud this particular artist's work and his attitude toward his art.

I definitely love his attitude. Do what you need to do and the critics be damned. Bravo !

Personally I prefer this guy's work. Still quite colorful in many instances, but with more subtlety and interesting style and selection of subjects.

But beauty is in the eye.............. as they say.

This is the stuff that I dream about. I am in awe. I am envious.

Sort of ironic that the photographer is shooting with a super high end Hasselblad and making them look like overprocessed iPhone photos.

Not a comment on their artistic value, I like a few of them, but certainly not really exploiting the potential of the camera.

On the other hand those Christophe Jacrot photos are fantastic. Thanks for the link.

No idea what you mean... I am far too busy with therapy today to research it.

Hilton hated on a personal basis and his reviews in the NY Times were often very mean spirited.

A photographer whose artistic style I like very much because of its peculiar vision is Keith Carter.
By the way he's a very kind person.
