Two weeks ago I got a deal on a M6 camera with the Summicron 35/2 and Tele-Elmarit 90/2.8. The price was reasonable and after all it was the camera of my dreams we were talking about so I accepted it. I've owned mostly Nikon cameras and glass and have been moving more and more to the analogue photography domains. It started out with a Nikon FG with a Nikkor E 50/1.8 that took wonderfully sharp photos. Following that one was the Nikon D70 dslr which I was very pleased with and that was the camera that really sparked my interest in photography, composition and the journalistic side of it. Zooms got replaced by primes for existing-light photography and after having to peak through the tiny viewfinder of the D70 for a couple of years I got a Nikon FE2 with a large beautiful viewfinder and the Nikkor 35/2 old manual focus lens. This one really got me into slide-films and it has been in my bag as my primary camera for a year now. The D70 has been quietly sleeping at home while my FE2 has been to London, Roma, Firenze, Beijing, Xi'en, Shanghai and of course all over Stockholm. Analogue photography just speaks to my way of seeing things. And now here I am with a Leica M6 with the georgeous sharp and contrasty Summicron 35/2. The quality is like none of my Nikons though and it's a completely different experience shooting with it. It's like it's not there in front of my eye 🙂
