Thanks to All for the collective wisdom. I will start watching for a good user SP and a 2.8 f3.5 lens. Thanks Again. Joe

Desperate but not serious
the normal kit 50mm Nikkor-sc f1.4 Sonnar is a nifty lens too.
If you get the milenium 50 you will have a stellar lens.

Yes indeed, so fine that i now own both the early chrome NKJ and an ltm NKT.
Very fine lenses.

Great looking S3's, and they do feel different than Leica's plus you can shoot with
one hand if need be.

I just wish....
I just wish....
Me Three, or is it four.
I wish that Mr. Tom (should be Sir Tom IMHO) had a Jr. partner that was electronic focused and together they could bring a simple FF back to SP/S3. Perhaps a bit bigger than the Rapid Winder for the S, a combination would be cool too.
No big LCD please and thank you. Just be able to set ASA and warn you how many pictures are left on the card and battery. Always store RAW and get Adobe, Apple and such to work with your files.
To dream.....

I got one too! A Nikon SP arrived by mail yesterday. Bought from Los Angeles thru e bay, not my favorite way to buy a camera but they had a good return policy. The camera and 50 f1.4 are very clean. The slow speeds are not working and the rangefinder patch is hard to see in dim light, it's OK in daylight. Is that normal? My local repair man, Crystal Camera in Asheville N.C. says he can work on these. Is there anything to watch out for? I've got $930 in it and I love the wide angle finder. Works well even with my glasses. Thanks to All who gave input on this. It's number 6214706 with titanium curtains. The case has some wear but the camera and lens look very nice. Thanks again to All. Joe
