Finally got my hands on this beauty

great price on a great kit...if you plan on staying with film never sell this kit or break it up..it is perfect as is...maybe add the 90...as is there is much that this outfit can accomplish.

Thanks,

Going away on a vacation next week so i expect to shoot a coupla rolls, both city and landscape.

I guess there's no problem changing lens mid -film ?

Great buy! I have chosen the CLE as my only M body.

I agree with Joe, for that price it's forever. :)

Thanks all for responses,

Just loaded a roll of Ektar.

City and street shooting, do you all favor the 28 over the 40 here?

Cheers, Chris

Very cool and smart buy ... but keep it forever? Not unless you are going to use it and like using it.

what a great price!!! Is 28mm free from white spots?

Oh I see some spots in 28mm but who cares it is still great price and those spots dont have much effect anyways.

Chris: I've never shot with Minolta's 28mm, but the 40mm was a revelation to me on the street after years of only shooting 50mm. I like 35mm, too, now that I've had some experience with it, but 40mm is definitely the "just right" lens for street shooting.

I have a roll of examples with this very combination if you're interested. The CLE was borrowed. I miss it. I still think about it almost every day.

28 or 40mm for street shooting depends on ones style and on how crowded the street is. These factors both contribute to how close one gets to their subject.

Thank's for all nice replies. First roll is in the store now, waiting for it. If all goes well i'll put up pic's later today. I used both the 28 and 40. Both streetfoto, some wide shots, portraits and lowlight situations inside a church.
