... ahhh, much better!

I never liked the bigger M4/M6 style lever - I've always thought it too big and obtrusive. I finally installed the M3 style lever and screw that I got from DAG a few weeks ago.

A trifle, sure - but I much prefer the feel and look!

You have what it takes to tinker with a Leica... I'd never try that in a million years!

I bet you're a happy man, right? 🙂

Must admit, your M6 has a unique look. Didn't you put in it an M3-style advance lever too?

Take care and good work!

Wow nice looking! Ken, was it hard to replace the preview lever? How much was the part to purchase? Now you just need to fill in the lettering and paint over it..

Francisco - fools rush in and all that. Yes, I have a solid advance on it, too.

ywenz, the hardest part was loosening the original blind screw - I used a pair of pliers with rubber tape on the jaws. The new lever uses a different type of screw that has two pin holes. I found a pair of pins that fit and hand tightened it. It took ten minutes total, tops. $50 for the lever and screw from DAG.
