Today I’ve received my new silver bessa R from Stephen Gandy. It’s my first range finder camera and I think it’s fabulous, the view finder is very lightness; though it’s seems rather hard to focus. I suppose what with a little practice …..

Congrats Jordi, I have never used one so I can't comment on the focusing. What lens to you have to go with it?

Just keep your eye centered in the viewfinder and it should focus fine. It will just take a little time to get used to. Congratulations.

I reckon you'll get used to it very quickly. I came from using a Canon Eos since about 1998. When I got my Bess R early last year it was a revelation: so easy to use, so easy to focus, so easy to get hooked. 🙂

Genial Jordi !!! 😀

I've the 35/2.5 lens myself (the pancake version that shares optics with the classic) and it's a great lens, sharp and contrasty.

Have fun ! Btw, did you have to pay any custom charges for it ? Bessas are not what we would say *cheap* here in Barcelona... 🙄

@taffer: You have the CV pancake 1? Me too! Great lens isn't it? I love mine!!

@jordi: Congrats and enjoy your new camera! I came to the RF world just over a year ago and found that I needed to adjust after many years using SLRs. It takes a little while but once you get the hang of it there is no going back! 🙂
