finally ready for an M6, $1700 too much?

About a year ago I paid 900€ for a mint ,boxed with papers,strap etc. for a titan m6 from a friend of mine (a pro ).Then I bought for 1800€ (always from him) a 21/2,8 asph and a 75/1,4 hope it helps...
 
I agree that, for what you are asking for, the price seems about right. I would also be curious about who did the CLA. I haven't upgraded my M6 finder yet but I think I will the next time it gets a CLA.

An M7, perhaps but where do you see clean MP's below $3000? I haven't been in the market so I haven't looked lately but MP's still seem very high. I know that a private seller will often take less but as an example, I saw two at Photo Village recently that had noticeable scratches (and include Passports) that were going for $3295.

Perhaps I need to set aside my evilbay prejudices (about buying cameras or guitars) and have a gander over there but at the places I usually trust to buy these kinds of things, they are still way up there. I do want to get another body at some point and it will likely be an MP so when you said that they're coming down around "'there" I got a bit excited! 🙂
 
i have a .85 Chrome M6 TTL ready to go in the classifieds here if you're interested...
it's 95% mint and includes everything that came with the camera when new.
