Find a used M9-P instead of going with an X-Pro2?

The biggest impediment to me for making images that I'm proud of seems to be just finding the time to get out the door with that one goal in mind.

I do not put the M9 in either of these categories. It may not have all the latest and greatest wiz bang technology built into it, but it is not obsolete.

I find it is best to have a chrome and black model to make constant comparisons. 😉

It's no longer made... that's part of obsolete's definition. Of course it is still usable. It's up to the individual to figure out if it is obsolete. If one upgrades from the M9 to the M240, then the M9 is obsolete to them.

Two of my favourite things that I own that a lot of people would think are absolete Leica m9 and land rover defender.

I'm fortunate to have several cameras but if I were down to one I would have to go with the Fuji for only one reason and that would be the versatility. It can do Tele, it can do Macro and from what I've read, the IQ of the 2 is significantly better than the 1. If that's the case there is even more reason to go that route. I've been pretty happy with my X-Pro1 once the software folks caught up with the X-trans sensor issues. Not as good as my M9, but darn close.

Same here regarding versatility and Fuji X. But that's me. If the OP revels in the limitations of Leica M, and doesn't like assembling yet one more set of lenses & a body or two, then an M9 sounds like your ride.

Hmmm, and here's me thinking that obsolete means worn out and has done for the past 4 or 500 years. But we have a new dictionary and it adds that in the USA it means replaced by something new...

I guess it's the usual translation problems.
