Finder Protection.

This may have been mentioned before but I couldn't find anything. I picked up a CV 21/4 Color Skopar & finder the other day and was a little concerned about protecting the finder when it was loose in my camera bag. I popped into a local jewelry shop and asked about those small little drawstring bags (the sort the bad guys put the diamonds in, in movies) and the shop assistant was happy to give me one...😱

Hi Steve
When the finders are new they usually come with a little draw string bag very similar to your picture, for those lens that fit I like the lens cases that voigtlander used to make with a compartment in the top for the finder. I wish they would start to re-make those cases.

Thank you for the neat idea - this is very useful since I have two finders (which I bought used), but no protective puches.

This one came used but with no pouch. I did wonder if the manufacturers provided something similar for this very reason.

I think our sponsor may still sell bags for the CV finders, but the bigger problem IMHO is securing the finder to the camera. I use a small diameter elastic cord from the VF foot to the body lug.

I use a small jewellery ring box for my 21 finder. I removed the linings from the body and lid of the box, and replaced them with camp foam. The bottom piece of foam has a cut-out to the shape of the finder that it sits in to keep it from rattling around inside the case, when its in my bag.
