Could be an interesting little niche for a handy guy or gal to do. I do not think you would have to open the sensor area......... but then I know more about reanimation........

totally possible. but why? there'd be no lenses that would correspond to the 1.5x crop and framing. to be honest the 1:1 vf is absolutely perfect on the epson. i don't know, does anyone have a another opinion?

Agreed! I dont see any reason to have a different VF on RD1s than the one already on it.

Here's what I wish, and can't see why not. Why can't Voigtlander have a line if crop sensor manual lenses? Wishful thinking though...

Well, I think the idea would be to get the lower magnification of the R4 finder, to be able to see the 28mm framelines;but keep the frameline mask of the R-D1, if possible. If not possible, then I assume there's no point.
