Finders Keepers

I just posted something on my blog that you might give me some critique or feedback with.

I wonder about my percentage of keepers per roll of film, so I posted the scans of my first test roll from the Canon T90 I just bought and noted which, in my eyes, are considered keepers.

I fear I am largely too relaxed about my keepers as there are quite a bit per roll, so I'd like to have your advice.

Technically all keepers as color film negative with good colors and film quality. Two from them have the Photography. Maybe three.

Maybe 6 keepers! But what I don't know is why you took some photos. If you took the 'modern house' as a record shot or as a request for a friend, then it's a keeper. If it's a lens setting test shot - it's a keeper, but otherwise .....
My feeling is that you aren't close enough to some subjects, for instance, the corrugated barn and the fallen tree. There must have been all sorts to photo there! Who was it that wrote - 'fill the frame, then take a step closer'?
I'm not trying to 'shoot you down' but write as I see things - and I'm often wrong, my wife tells me !!!

Thanks for your comment. And to my defense I must say that this was in fact a test roll for my 'new' Canon T90, so some shots are quite irrelevant. The modern building is just next to ours, so I shot it....

And you're right, I have to be closer.... often.
