Went hunting for my non-working(?) Canon 28 RF and also rediscovered an old friend, my Agfa Karat 36! Sure we had "issues" when we first got together, but the green "sludge" was soon fixed. (rubbing alcohol & Q-tip) A DeJur/Amsco screw-in wrist strap on the bottom tripod mount helps with the carry but this jewel is small & lite enough to really pocket. Removal of the Walz/32 push-on shade is necessary. A grey rubber lens cap is a perfect fit. Did I mention the Agfa Solinar 1:2.8/50 lens is a solid performer? They all add up to make this lite camera a favorite.

After finding the "36" I continued on and found my Agfa karat IV. It also sports a Solinar 1:2.8/50 lens. the "36 has the synchro-compur shutter while the IV is fitted with a Prontor-svs. No scale but the "36"feels a bit heavier than the "IV". Perhaps due to the fact that the "IV"is made with "punched out" parts the "36" appears to have milled body parts, sharp lines as apposed to that "rounded" look on the edges of a more machine-made product.
