Firmware 1.091

Updated the firmware this morning and took a couple of shots. The WB is a bit more consistent. Although in the samples I post here, they are different because in one shot I left as "As Shot" and the other "Auto"

Where did you get this firmware from?

I checked here:

...and I still see v1.09

It was there. I hope for the sake of whoever jumped on it that Leica didn't pull it for some problem in the firmware 😱

I think it says 1.09 but it downloads as 1.091

The 1.091 version has dissapeared from German and US download sites.

An official Leica spokesman has now posted a note on the LUG that says that firmware update is not ready for prime-time, and that's why they pulled it. There are some bugs. It was posted as a test, and downloaded before they could pull it. Some people who got it, however, have decided to continue using it. (There's a long posting on this subject on the Leica forum.) The bottom line is, the new 1.10 is supposed to be out before the end of March. If you look through the LUG, you will find a place where somebody squirreled away a copy of 1.091, that you can download, but most people agree that this is not a good idea because of the bugs. I downloaded it to my computer, but decided not to update the camera. Has some nice features, though. 🙂
