Heard that new FW 1.10 will be released together with LM adapter ring:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Guess what will be fixed/improved:) Speed is what I care most at this moment

Correction: what I heard is FW 1.10 will be released when M ring is on market. The ring is already announced isn't it?

Firmware 1.10 is released.

Upgrade from 1.01 went smoothly on my camera.

Addendum: can't (yet) tell whether there is a difference in AF speed with the 18/2, but speed with the 35/1.4 in low-to moderate light seems noticeably faster. Magnified-MF is definitely easier to use, at least handheld.

This will have to wait till I'm back from Paris but thanks for the heads up!

Cheers,
Dave

Great, I'll upgrade my XP1 later today. Let's see what'll happen:rolleyes:

...one change: the custom settings item in the Q menu always reverts to BASIC when the menu is invoked. This is good for muscle memory since you always know how many clicks to a given setting, bad for seeing what setting you're currently on. In fact, it's not clear to me that "BASIC" refers to anything at all other than "starting position -- keep current settings, whatever they happen to be."

I did the download last night. Really don;t see a difference in the focusing with the 35. Maybe it's there...but to me no extreme change. As others download let us know what you think. I love the camera anyway...

If you're shooting older glass, you definitely want the new firmware -- magnified focus (press in the control wheel on the back when the focus mode switch is set to manual) works much better in firmware 1.1.
