firmware backstep

Is it safe to re-install an older version of the M8 firmware, say from 1.2.0 to 1.1.0 or another? I don't particularly like the new timings when the DNG shot is being written on the SD card. It used to be 3.5 secs now it is 7.5 secs. Why is that?

Are you sure you're not saving a jpeg as well? Your settings may have been reset. Yes, you can load earlier firmware.
