Re: M240 camera that I've had for awhile now. I love it and have not updated my firmware for quite some time now. I just read about some of the last 2-3 updates and what they provide and have decided to update. So, if I update to the most current firmware, will all the past updates be included or do I have to go back to get them in sequence? Any reason to avoid any of the updates? Thanks for the answers in advance! Bob in Michigan.

My understanding is that the latest firmware update contains all the previous so you don't have to install them all sequentially.

If it's not broken, don't fix it ... rule no. #1 for anything;).

Does anything not work in your camera?
Is there anything essential that will visibly improve performance?
Are the updates "nice to have" but not necessary for you to use the camera?

Good luck and let us know which updates not to install:D

The firmware updates have listed what they were fixing or adding to the typ 240 series. Each one has improved the camera by some small increment.

I always keep my cameras up to date with the latest firmware. Nothing has broken, it's worked better each time.

Thanks everyone for the discussion. I have updated and the latest update gave me all the previous ones that were missing. While the latest version did not have much, IMO, the previous one was loaded with many helpful add ons. I am even happier with this wonderful camera now. Bob.
