Just got back the 1st roll through my RH10 back for my Miniature Speed Graphic. Kodak Portra 160NC, uncoated 105mm/3.5 Zeiss Jena Tessar. f8 & 1/25th - very grey day yesterday with fog that lasted all day.

Thanks. I think they're a bit on the soft side aside from the effect of the fog. I'll have to check the infinity stops when I get a nice bright day.

If your camera has the Graflok back then Mamiya RB 6x7 film backs will fit - the type that are manually wound on - not he RZ type.

I seem to recall a friend of mine in Melbourne had several of these backs with his Miniature Speed Graphic outfit. One back for colour, one for black and white etc. They fitted and registered just fine. Do not forget that the Mamiya RB67 bcak locking system is Graflok.

Before you spend your hard earned money try one to see if the fit is OK - perhaps your local camera store may let you try one.

Do your research as all the above is from my memory of events two decades ago!

The speed graphic was maybe the most versatile camera in popular use.
A nice assortment of lenses were offered and the focal plane shutter allows for many not in a shutter.

I used to use sheet film, but switched to the roll adapters when 2x3 film got hard to find. With two backs I could shoot color and B&W at the same time. The tilt, while modest, allows for the most common depth enhancement (foreground sharpening).

I even rigged up a simple adapter that allowed mounting an SLR on the back. One of the most interesting uses was for me to mount a 25mm C-mount movie camera lens on a board and use the camera for extreme closeups. With about an 8 inch draw one can get about 16X on the film.

Focusing is interesting with rangefinder, groundglass and even the sports finder for action. The only drawback is the inabilty to use the rangefinder with other lenses. Linhofs allowed for multiple cams, but cost the earth.

I got tired of lugging it around a few years ago and switched to a Pentax 6x7. The same size negative but an SLR. I do mis the swings and tilts, however.

IF somebody is really anxious for one, I'd part with mine, it's just sitting there. Email me and I'll list all the stuff I have for it.
