Well took long enough to run some black and white through behind this lens, then it took long enough to get the film back, then it took even longer to get the scans….but im happy to say that finally I got some results to show.
Here are some shots from my Voigtlander 35mm 2.5 Skopar Pancake II, which it isn’t because mine says Cosina/Epson RD1 2004 35mm f2.5 on it instead.
People carrying bamboo poles with baskets or helping people carry things for a fee is a common site around here. The freshest fruit comes to a street corner near you like this, not in the store.
A lot going on here, a seller giving change catches sight of someone taking his picture, a lady fumbling with her bags, people gambling, and people with too much time watching people gambling, all set around the typical old style side streets you would expect to see in Chongqing.

As ususual the forum wont let me post a message with more then a hundred so words, so here is the rest.
A little girl pops out from behind a corner in an old alley then stops cold and laughs.
A lady picking through discarded vegetables for anything that can be salvaged.
A guy fixes a cooking pot on the side of the street, of course everyone is watching.
Film used was my usual favorite black and white, Ilford XP2, which is a great film I must say I love as much as ever.
Camera used was my Bessa R2A which im still getting a feel for. I think the camera overexposes a bit so I will shoot the next roll a little faster.

Anyone else notice that guy is using a blow torch to cook the pork legs?
(I could have done a lot better with this photo…)

Great work!
In the last two you've shared, a question about the first of those.
eek: Sorry for that horrible sentence.)
Is that a pile of lenses on the table to the right of the cook?

Great street shots/ photo-ethnography! Keep up the good work! I haven't seen too many of your photos- Have you tried a longer lens and shallower depth of field to isolate a particular focus of your image?
I took alot of b/w in Kashgar a few years ago but shot with a Nikon FA

done a lot of long lens work too, its really neat, but I dont like carrying around a canon 70-200 2.8 IS on my 20D for street photography too much, I already have a wrenched neck from carrying it around before....you should click on my deviantart thing in my signature and take a look.

Ok the last few for tonight...
Old lady passes the time while waiting to sell things to passers by.
How long can you stare at a sign?
Love the rickety old busses.

First of all, AWESOME pics, man! you've got some amazing eyes.
but I'm confused, so you took these with which lens and which camera? I read "scan" and then "Epson RD1" in the sentence, those two just don't jive in my head

Beleive me, you are not the first person. Stephan Gandy couldn't tell me anything about it either. I guess its rare!
Here is a pic of the rig:

From what I can find, this seems to be the lens that Cosina used to hone in their RD1's, although I dont know if mine was ever used because it was in new condition when I got it.

thanks for the many comments everyone
Can you believe one of my friends asked me why most of the photos were out of focus? And to think he has a d70....yikes, what is in focus to him?
