Dropped my 'new' M6 last week, dropped hard on the stairs of a bus station. Fractured the film rewind button. It's been repaired and I pick it up tomorrow. Luckily my brand new, first day out Zeiss Planar 50mm was untouched!
One of the reason I have a filter and hood on my lenses. If it happens to be lens, the hood I hope will absorb the damage. If it while the hood is not on then the filter gets creamed and the lens threads can be saved. Anyway... That is my hope.. But Murphy law will cause the opposite to happen given my luck.
