My GF1 arrived yesterday, so I took advantage of having our two cats around. Even if they get tired of being photographed, they can't really tell me!

First shots with MFT, so go easy. It will take a bit of time to get used to the buttons, interface, and the decreased latitude of the 4/3 sensor. I used some Cinammon Rose actions for PP.

I really dig the grain pattern, and ISO1600 creates a very nice amount of it, without losing too much detail. I'm in love with the camera already, and I'm going to keep this one for a long time.

20/1.7 lens. I can't wait for my Minolta MD adapter.

I breathed a cynical sigh (more cats) when I opened this thread, but I'm impressed!

Tell us more about the Cinnamon Rose actions - are they for Photoshop? What do they do? What effects do they offer?

(Oh, nice moggies, too!)

that 20 is an amazing lens.
enjoy the new toy!

I plan to. Can't wait to really wring it out over the next few months. By mid July, I'll have taken the GF1 to Vegas and Palm Springs (spring break), Hilton Head (graduation present), and Jamaica (honeymoon)!

Thank you. The website for the actions is here.

I bought their classic set. It has about 20 Lightroom presets and 17 or so Photoshop actions. I'm very happy with them...Very easy to use, and most finish as layers so that you can adjust all of the effects. That's the best part for me because I tend to do a lot of PP work on my images, and the adjustability with these fits my workflow nicely. I'll be buying the rest of what they offer sometime.

Welcome to the world of MFT. The 20 is the best of the lens. Cannot wait for Pany's 14 f2.8 to be announced. BTW --> I like cat threads. I like your 2nd shot the best.

Have fun with your new camera
Gary

Thanks Gary. I'm also looking forward to the 14mm. Should be a viable wide option for those of us who can't justify a $1000 wide angle zoom.
