Well, I've been lurking around here for way too long, it's about time I posted something. This is last night's and today's efforts, getting to know the camera I got on Friday, with which I am having a lot of fun.
All with the Voigtlander Nokton 35mm f1.4 MC, M8 set for the most part to -1/3 or -2/3 EV, processed in Lightroom 1.3.1, basic curves, b&w conversion, and not much else.
Sydney by dusk (f1.4, 1/60, 640):
Down at the pub (f2, 1/45, 640):
Kirribilli (f8, 1/1500, 160):
Circular Quay (f4?, 1/500, 160):
Stealing wishes (f8, 1/250, 160):
War memorial (f8, 1/30, 640, cropped to 5mp):
Love in Hyde Park (f2.8, 1/350, 160):
Argyle Stairs, The Rocks (f8, 1/180, 160):
Thanks.

awesome... seems like the M8 in B&W is for you. I love the non-typical views of Sydney.
BTW.. why Lightroom 1.3.x and not the latest 1.4.1?

Thanks Hung, lightroom version is jut my own lazyness, I think the update just adds camera support, but maybe I'm missing out on something?

i tried the 2.0 beta yesterday -- thought the new local editing stuff was quite interesting, worth a look.

Sam, congratulations on the M8 and 1.4/35 Nokton MC, very nice pictures to start too! I've just taken delivery of a used SC version of this lens, and looking forward to results...

wonderful shots. 35mm nokton seems to work well.

Thanks guys, I'm liking the 35 field of view of the m8, but I need to use the nokton a bit more to get a better feel for it, I only really used it at 1.4, 2 and f8, I think from what I've read it suffers from some pretty bad focus shift in between those stops so some more use is in order. I think I'll add the 28/3.5 vc as well and see if I like that view, before shelling out the big bucks for Leica's offerings.
