Hi friends,

Have always been a silent member in this forum and have tried to learn silently by going through all the posts .
However, after a long waiting time got my first Leica M2 and a voigtlander 40mm f1.4 SC lens . So here are some of the photos that i took and really liked them . Need all your views and critiques on the same :-

Excellent work. Just keep doing more of that! When I tried to shoot in our local mall, the rent-a-cops escorted me out the exit.

Nice first roll!

Shot 1. nice mood, great exposure under that particular lighting

Shot 2. Would like to have seen the pedestrians before they were covered by the sign, in the upper left quadrant of the photo.

Congratulations on the new camera and have fun!

Shot 3. Like the backdrop you've chosen, though I think the photo would have been stronger had he a) engaged with the camera or b) closer/straighter shot. Tonality is very nice!

Shot 4. My favorite of the three

Shots One & Four are Brill....made me Smile
Fab Combo body & Lens
Congrats and keep Shooting...Life is Good !

Great results!!
The Fireplace Grill is my favorite: many things going on in the composition.
From one M2 user to another: keep shooting!

Really liked your first shots with the M2. Great scans and good tones. What film, scanner? Malls can result in problems with Dufus the Rent-a-cop. The joy of a smallish camera, no flash..
Amazing what one can do without Screen viewing, matrix metering,auto-focus, zoom lenses, unlimited amount of exposures!
Strangely i often, a few hours after doing a shoot try remember each exposure with small sketch. If i used film, easy. Digital=never.
Can't wait for more..

OH MY GOD!!!! I can't believe that I would get so many responses here in a matter of 10 mins.
Well I use a sekonic twinmate as a hand hand meter and film used is Kodak TMax 400. I have tried Ilford with my Nikon but its grainier than Kodak as I think it to be.
Also love the contrast of kodak Tmax400. Scanner I am not sure as I o not know how to develop at home and scan.

Wanted to know if buying a scanner would be great and what scanner do you recommend?
