Hello fellow HK RFFers,
For those of you who are interested in attending our first RFF HK Photo Club meeting, but who haven't yet PM'd me your email addresses, please do so.
We are tentatively thinking of getting together after work on Thursday, 21 June.
Still TBD whether it will be on Hong Kong or Kowloon side. If you have a preference, let me know. The majority will rule!
Though I have some thoughts on what we should discuss at our first meeting, I am very OPEN to suggestions. Some ideas I've had include:
Who are we? - personal introductions
Why do we use rangefinders?
How do we choose rangefinders?
Are we predominantly 35mm or do we stray to 120 or large format?
Do we use accessories (flash units, light meters, etc.)?
What do we like to shoot (subject matter)? Why?
What do we like to shoot with (lenses)? Why?
Where do we like to shoot? Why?
When do we like to shoot? Why?
Where do we like to shop? Why? (Including good and bad experiences)
Where do we go to develop? Why?
What do we do post-development (scanning, photoshoping, archiving, etc.)? Why?
What was your "best" moment behind the viewfinder?
What was your worst?
Suggested dates, time and venues of future meetings
However, now that I've seen how long this list can be, I'm wondering if we should devote specific meetings to certain topics, rather than try to cover everything at once!
Your thoughts, please?! This HK Photo Club is as much your chance to voice an opinion and share an image as mine!
Look forward to meeting you on 21 June. If not then, another time soon.
Adrian

Count me !
And I would suggest after introduction of ourselves we could start by showing some interesting or special gears that we own, some experiences of using RF cameras and .... may be already too for one meeting ?!
Looking forward to seeing all of you showing up !

No worries, common gear can often produce uncommon results! And your gear ain't that common! ;-)

Of course, it seems there is a bigger chance for me to forget my passport rather than my gears!!

Yeah! Hang some gear around your neck or over your shoulder!
