I have only been a member of this site for a hour or so but I will try to get some images up. I have recently bought my first leica camera , its a m6 with a 50mm cron, I love the enjoyment of knowing that I took the picture and not the camera. I have been developing my own film , but have yet to enlarge anything. Any ideas on what type of speed film you find most useable ( I know it depends on the conditions, but I am looking for a all purpose b+w film to keep in it at all times) I carry my latest toy everywhere I go.
thanks for your time. i only use tri-x and devlop it in d-76. for studio work you can expose this film at 200.
i tried out many others and the hp5, acros from fuji gave me satisfactions but tri-x is definatly MY film. hope that kodak will be able to keep on the production of this film
Rainer,
I like this shot, very well done, technically and artisticaly al top level photo ! Have been at your homepage too and found lot of very good photos there.too.
Your name sounds German but you live in France as the photos tell me ?
Interesting that you went back to analog, since a while an increasing number of photogs do so.
Thanks for sharing !
Bertram
Rainer, welcome to RFF, and that's a fine photo! Looks like it is a farmers' market, or an individual farmer's road-side table. I like to make this kind of photo too, with the people and their produce, and sales transactions. 🙂
Thanks alot for looking and the positive comments. it is true that i am german but live in france now since many years and after traveling and living all over europe 🙂
Rainier, nice shots on your wanadoo site. I specially like the 'Circus in the Dunes' because 1) I like power pylons 2) it's B&W 3) the photo makes me think of 'theatre of the absurd'
