I've just posted a few shots from the Electro 35 I rehabed this week (a few uploaded 2x - something about a Server 500 error - I'll fix it a bit later).
Thanks to all on the forum who helped me with this one (especially greyhoundman).
My first impressions are that it is a nice shooting camera. The things that I like are the quick focusing and exposure controls. Dislikes are the slightly clunkier feel compared to my 2 Canon QL-17 GIII's, the excessive lens wobble, not being able to see what shutter speed the camera is picking, and the shutter release travels a long way down before tripping. I also prefer the 40mm lens of the Canon than the slightly tighter 45mm of the Yashica.
All in all, pretty minor complaints that will just take some getting used to, but at the same time, makes me wonder what it would be like to have a really nice shooter (anyone got an R2a for sale?)...
All the best,
Michael

You can solve the shutter speed problem by getting a Yashica Lynx which lets you select the shutter speed and the aperture.

Excellent shots. Except for the fact that its fully auto only, and pretty large, you could hardly ask for a better camera.

I wish it was smaller too. Or, that I had enough beans in my pocket for a GX or CC. But another advantage over the QL17 is that setting hyperfocal is a little easier with an Electro. Nice shots BTW!
