The obligatory initial friends and family shots:

All taken with 50/1.4 preASPH w/ Heliopan IR cut filter.

In a week or 2 I'll give it a spin on some paying work, still testing. First impressions? It's great to not have to lug around that whale of a Canon DSLR. I have rediscovered that I still prefer RF manual to any autofocus system. I now have another 2 stops without the need of flash. My chiropractor won't be seeing me for a while.

I absolutely love this camera. For me (my subjective opinion for my personal situation/needs/work) it's head and shoulders above anything I have ever used and that's a long list including Hasselblad, Linhof, Arca-Swiss, Plaubel, Leica film, Rollei, Canon and a few more over the course of 30 years.

I didn't post the pics to start another M8 pissing match. Your welcome however to piss on my images or applaud them as you see fit.

Nice gallery and no surprise, I could not agree with you more then I do regarding your opening statement: )

One thing- shoot that camera as much as possible as quickly as possible to discover whether or not you have an EFR copy. If you've been following these threads then you already know that some M8's fail early on due to electronic glitches. If it's going to fail then it seems to fail very early in it's life- say within 1000 exposures. Mine has nearly 4000 exposures and it's never given me any trouble but I have a friend who was not so lucky so please make certain and have fun!

I agree. This is the easiest-to-use, best camera I have ever used also.
And, I have a similar list of cameras that I have used over 30 years.
I'm still testing also, but have used the M8 on one assignment with my Broncolor studio strobes and the images were perfect.

Srobes near minimum. 50mm 1.4 used for model shot wearing jewelry.
Easy. Fast. Perfect Color.

What more is there?
