Hi guys and girls,
I want to thank you all in helping me make a decision with purchasing an RF camera. It's been a challenge learning how to use it after using SLRs and DSLRs, but it's all good.
I'm including links to some of my first shots with R3A and 40mm Nokton. Different 400-speed films were used and ALL were pushed to 800 iso. I was testing pushing with different developers. The shots were taken at a local barter shop in Alabama.
I hope you find them worthy checking out.
I still don't know how to include the photos directly into the posts, so maybe someone could teach me how 🙂

I scanned the actual dark-room prints except for 1

Again,
Thank you all for your help on this forum!

Thanks Peter! It's the MC version. I'll post more shots from outdoors in the next few days.
I really like having a small camera/lens combination. I do know for sure though is that 40mm is not going to be my only lens. I want to go wider. When the R4A comes out, I'll be bying into a wide-angle system if I don't spend all of my money on the dark-room stuff.

The R3A and the Nokton are a classic combination, I think. I've been very pleased with mine. It looks like you were getting your hair cut as well, am I correct?

Great slices of life (though the mother and son look a little out of focus). I'm impressed you got all those people to agree to have their pictures taken!

Thanks for your comment Nick!
Yes, I got a hair cut too. Most people were very agreeble when I talked to them. I talked to them for a little while before asking for a permission. They were comfortable once they knew that I just loved photography and wasn't just some freak who was going to do harm.
The photo with 3 boys in the back was taken on the fly while I was in the barber's chair getting a cut. When I saw them turning their heads to that TV all together, I knew it was it, raised the camera to my eye and snapped the shot. That one made my day even before I developed it.
The one with the man coming out of the barber place was also spontaneous. I was just trying to take a photo of the place and of the girl on tha balcony. It was going to be a more formal composition, but then the door flies open and this guy storms out with his arm strached out to call his kids to get the cuts. I froze for a sec, but took the shot anyway, even though the lines weren't very straight. It's OK, because I remember loving the moment.
