This is very nice work, Steve. A lens like the Canon 50mm/1.5 may have encouraged you to "let go"and explore the street photography that you wanted to do. I feel this way when I use a Zeiss Sonnar or a Summicron 50mm lens.

Raid, you may be right about one source of inspiration for this set, but another was shooting that day w/ my 20-year-old daughter, who was working on her own digital arts project and needed to shoot examples of urban art. Dad/daughter shoot-outs are the best! I hope you have many of them w/ yours. 🙂

really great shots. super sharp (to me at least), plenty of contrast, and pleasant bokeh.

this inspires me to get my IIS in good shape (holy shutter curtains), and use my 50/1.5. mine, however, has some scratches internally on the rear element, and I think that might affect the sharpness some.

While I am enjoying my daughters' childhood, I am looking forward to have them grow up to accompany me on photo trips.
