Hi everyone!
I just got my Bessa T and went out to take some test shots! The first roll I did ended up underdeveloped (made the mistake of using a developer I am not familiar with). My second roll was much better. I am having trouble in my darkroom, seem to have light leak issues, so I have not been able to make a contact sheet yet. But I did scan a few negatives, thought I would post them and see what you think!
As for the Bessa T, I do like it, its basically everything I was expecting. I used to have a Bessa L, which was great, but I wanted a camera that had a coupled rangefinder. Thus the Bessa T seemed very familiar. I also wanted the built in diopter adjustment. The case that I got (for $1) was great, it fits over the camera, lens and VF.
The Classic Nokton S.C. I have not gotten a feel for yet. Because of the afor mentioned darkroom issues I have not printed any of the negatives. I find that for me I know if I like the tones and overall look once I have printed some of the more likely looking negatives in 5x7. I have cheap scanner though and I did try to scan a few. I did minor adjustments to some, like auto levels, but tried not to do to much. The lens in a great size, love the click stops and basic design. I got the lens because I am a 40mm kind of gal, 50 is to small, 35 to wide. I decided to get the S.C. when I saw someone was selling it, I wanted to test for myself the whol "single coating" thing. It also came with a UV lens, so I figure if I want multcoating that might add some to it?

Mike I am using the 40mm Brightline from CQ! Actually these picts were not the roll that had more trouble! This roll turned out better than the one that had problems! The first roll I tried (not these picts) was FP4 on Tmax at 4.5 minutes, which seemed to be not enough but was the suggested starting time. These shots were J and C 400 in Gainer's vitamin C for 8 minutes.
But some test shots in a film I am more familiar with are definetly in my future!

btw I also have a universal vf from Fedka and it is to big to fit in the case from CQ!

Hi, Nancy.
4.5 minutes is not enough. You might consider switching to Kodak's very good D76 film developer and mixing it 1:1 with distilled water.
In which case, FP4 would be 8.5 minutes @ 68F and you would get excellent results.
