First pics from Konica S2

I acquired an S2 in good condition recently for $20 and had my first roll developed today. They're just fun snaps of my son but I really enjoyed using the camera (had to guestimate exposure though) and pretty happy with results. 400CN scanned with Minolta Dual IV. I know web res is hard to go by, but prints seem sharp. Does anyone know what batteries I could use to make the light meter work? Thank you.

I just wonder if you really need that built-in meter 🙂
I'm way too overexposing with S2, maybe should check for accuracy, though rather develop eye-metering skills.

I use a MR-9 Kanto/ CRIS adapter and a SR44 battery w/ good results.

With such old cameras, I would only use a handheld meter as anything electrical cannot be expected to be accurate since many of the values of the capacitors and resistors etc would have been displaced. I use a Sekonic 308 and a 308S. I have had the 308 for some 20 years and it is still very accurate. I had it sent back to the workshop for ckecking and confirmation.

Thanks for the replies. Obviously I didn't show the ones where I got the exposure way off 🙂 Most were slightly overexposed but useable. Will probably invest in a handheld - good idea. You don't find many second hand though and new ones are so expensive... one will come around.

I've just bought new a Sekonic L-208 for use with a profoundly meterless old TLR. At just a few ticks under 100 USD, it's
about as affordable as new meters get. It's very old-school and simple to use. I'd recommend it; only reservation is it's a lightweight, not built like a tank. I say fine; don't take it into battle then. 🙂
