First pics.with my Zorki

A few pictures from the first film through the Zorki received last month from Oleg.Film was XP2+, processed and printed by the 'Persil 'Lab in my local Sainbury.After which it is all down to me--scanned in my Microtek 3800,set at 96dpi for on screen viewing.

First two are taken with a Fed collapsible,the remainder with a Canon 35mm/f3.5.

I like these pictures especially the first one. What kind of zorki are you using?

That Canon lens gives a nice vintage look. Of course, it probably has a lot to do with the tonal range of the film. Is the Canon a 35mm Elmar copy?

It's a Zorki 1,not sure which variation,but the serial number begins with 56,so it's quite a late model.

I'm not sure if the Canon is an Elmar clone.It isn't a collapsible lens,but its very compact.According to the database over on the Canon Forum it is a 4 element lens dating from 1950.

for Zorki 1 classification, if yours has strap lugs it is a '2' if it only has two speeds between 100 and B a '1e'.

You do need a hood for the standard lens...

Thanks for the info',I think that it's probably a 1d,as it has the older style shutter speeds.ie. 100/200 etc.
