I am really impressed with this little guy! This is one great camera!

The morning I took these shots a fog was lifting and it was still somewhat hazy.
I was very happy to see the results today when I picked up my prints. This little camera has a great lens and does an impressive job considering the light conditions.

Okay! I've been bitten by the rangefinder bug! :D

I hope to post more pics later in my own gallery.

Congrats! Photos look good - very crisp! I am also a fan of the little RC - but slightly prefer the RD. A tiny bit heavier/larger, slightly higher-end lens. However, the RC was very rugged and reliable, the RD suffered from sticky shutter/aperture blades.

Best Regards,

Bill Mattocks

Thank you for the positive input! I have small hands and the RC feels very comfortable to me. It's going to be a pleasure to use.

Nice to know you were "bitten" too:) Pix look good, Sue. You know you have a gallery space here?

Thanks Nat. I am hoping to put pics in my gallery - as soon as I can figure out how!

hey doll,
i'm so glad you like the camera and as you can see it delivers the goods.
i too like it's small size and for the majority of shooting the 500th shutter speed and 2.8 lens will be fine.
are you using a neck strap or a wrist strap? (did i ask you this already?)
i prefer the wrist strap and just happen to have a few here if you need one.

good shooting, fun eh?

joe

Thanks, Joe! Photography is lots of fun! I'm using a neck strap now. I'm not sure about a wrist strap. My wrists are very small and not very strong. I think I might be better off with the neck strap. But I really appreciate the offer. Gman says you're a pretty nice guy. (oops)

and for me it's the opposite, strong wrists and if i hang anything on my neck (even something light) it hurts in minutes, often triggers a headache.

any rumour that states i'm a nice guy must have been started by...me! ha!

joe

i usually make my own from old neck straps.
i have a small assortment of light duty ones that would be ok for smaller cameras.
hakuba has some nice ones (at least from seeing them on the internet), i think gene has a nice hakuba one.
i just bought one from m classics that is very nice, very classy looking. small but strong and a great leather collar on it. i just posted a pic of it on another thread about what arrived in my mail today.

Joe,

What brand of wrist straps do you prefer? I've never been all that happy with neck straps.

Robert

I know that Optech straps are popular. My favorite, however, is a 1" wide cotton strap made by a company called Simpics - Click Here A wrist strap allows for the use of a small belt pouch to carry the 35RC.

BY THE WAY - Congratulations on getting the 35RC -

Gotta have one - gotta have one - gotta..........!!

One can never have enough cameras!

Now to find more time to use them.

Taffman

The Oly RC is great! I love mine. You gotta snag one.

Joe, tell me more about your wrist straps. You've picqued my curiosity...

Russ

the top left, attached to the camera is a homemade from neck strap one-all others are store bought. (ok, ebay too)

what's to say?

how bout that pic is worth a 1000 words thing?

joe

Argh !

<visual pleasure overload>

Taffman, that's a good one :D Well you know Russ the evil Taffman says go grab one (and very very cheap ones have appeared on my way) while the good Taffman replies 'no your creativity will still be more divided with all these cameras'.

Hence, in the middle, Taffman cries and suffers.

Joe

I'll take one. One of the beefier ones please.

Thanks
Your bestest buddy
Russ (damn, now I have to send more Neopan 400CN)

russ,

the one that screws into the tripod socket is beefy. i doubt that i will ever use it cause i'm too used to the feel of a strap attached to the lug. it feels different coming from below the camera. it doesn't feel 'bad' just different and with all my other cameras being attached at the lug it doesn't make 'joe' sense to have one that's different.
it seems very well made and was cheap off ebay.
i still have your info and i need to go the post office today so i'll drop it in the mail.
