The Fed-2c, a recent arrival from sellertreasure on the B@y, is great!

PHOTOS

f8 - Volvo headlamp

f5.6 - Gate & lamp

Notice the flare spots from a sharp lens, which is UNcoated.

There are 2 more pix in the next Post.
Mike

Second Post with Pix on the sellertreasure Fed-2c with an UNcoated I-26m...

f16 - Sisters, kittens in the sunshine

f4 - Tripods-3... This is the only shot with no flare spots. This one really looks good if you click again and bring it up to size (+). Film for this test was Kodak B/W 400 C41.

CONCLUSIONS:
The Fed-2c is great... smooth, quiet and accurate. Next tests will be with I-61 l/d and J8 lenses, both Coated.

It's been a long day; time for beddie-bye,
Mike

hi, it seems uncoated lens are marked with 'uncoated' .. it would be real surprise if they made uncoated i26m .. but i like this kind of surprises..

m.

All I-26M were coated. Variations in coating colour may exist, some bluish, some 'clear' looking, but definitely coated. All lenses made by 1950 were already coated. The only Industars without coating are the Industar-10 made prior to, and immediately after WW2, and perhaps a few I-22 not marked with a "П".
