I've started scanning several rolls of film made in recent weeks with my new Bessas (R4A and R3A). Obviously there are some issues here and there, foremost the famous backfocussing of the 50/1.5 C Sonnar used in part of the shots. I definitely have to shoot a roll through my lenses against some tape targets to check on that.

However, I admit, the pictorial effect of this lens is charming, and the fast operation of the rangefinder made these casual shots , taken in a country home of my friend, near Warsaw, possible. I just wanted to share the joy of rediscovering this type of imagery with you, even if I am knocking down an open door here...🙂

You will notice the backfocussing especially in the second photo, where I set the sharpness on the dog's nose, not on the floor...

I wonder if part of the back focusing issue with your Sonnar is that you use Bessa cameras. With their short RF base it can be hard to focus fast and long lenses correctly. Just a thought.
