Figured out how to attach remaining photos.

The photo on my earlier post is a J8 shot showing the very light vertical line just right of centre.

The remaining shots ,first 3 from the I50,last 2 from the J8.

The one with the vertical line looks like a light leak--either crack in the curtains or body. Since the other photos don't have it it could be a body leak that only shows up when the light strikes the camera at a particular angle.

The pix with the vertical stripe looks like your finger got into the shutterspeed dial. I caught myself accidently doing this, you cant even feel it. I put on a soft release and its never happened again! This is very easy to do with a spinning dial.

Yep, done that. And still do from time to time. Care must be taken. This shot of a friend is an extreme case.... or.... this guy is so stinkin' ugly that God intervened with a lightning bolt, saving the Leica from sure destruction! The soft release helps on the Zorkis, but I don't have one on the Leica.

Thanks for the comment.Hopefully the service will sort it out.

Yes the finger in the shutter dial is a sneaky one. I had bought a Zorki 1 and this showed up in the first roll I shot with it so i tore it down and cleaned it up and the next roll was fine.A couple of rolls later it showed up again and to throw a wrench into the mix it occured in other cameras also at random . So i sent the Z1 to Oleg for over haul and first roll......there it was! Very disappointed, I was shooting another roll and just happened to feel my finger nail brush the spinning speed dial and sure enough , it showed on the prints. I found some soft release buttons and put them on , they raise the finger enough to clear the speed dial....havent seen the problem since.........
