Hey guys. I went to a local camera fair yesterday and I just could not resist a nce Moskva 2 one of the guys there had on his table. $120 later and this baby was mine. The lans was nice and clean, shutter firs relatively accurately and the rangefinder is in almost perfect adjustment. I just happen to have a roll of Ilford XP2 Super 400 on me that I had intended to use in my Ensign Commando (another MF RFer from the same era), so I decided to put it in the Moskva instead. I found the Moskva to be a very easy camera to use, much easier than my Commando. The results were better than I expected, apart from a bit of dust on the negs and the lens, plus some minor exposure hassles.
Here are some of the results.
Also, does anyone know how I can accurately figure out the approximate year a Moskva 2 was made??

Edited to say these were adjusted in PSE 2.0

Good shots Heath.
First two digits of the S/N indicate the year of manufacture.

Thanks for the information about the serial # Eugene. So my Moskva was born in 1951, and therefore 20 years older than me (and the same age as my step-father). I knew that the serial # showewd the year of manufacture in the Zorki's, but wasn't sure about the Moskva's.
And thanks for looking at my shots.

Heath, Moskva in good condition is an excellent performer: they were high-class cameras in they heyday.
The Industar-23 4.5/110 is considered a bit sharper than its successor I-24 used on Moskva-5, and is a great lens if properly calibrated and stopped down to f/8 or so.
