A couple of firsts tonight - first roll of film developed (at least since College Physics class!) and first shots with my Mamiya 7II.
I posted earlier about not being able to drain any chemicals and got some could responses and advice - so thanks all. Also, to keep the chemicals and smell out of the house, I did it in my unheated barn (it was about 20degrees in there!) things seemed to go pretty well till I pulled the film out of the wash - I was happy to see some images, but as soon as I hung it up, the water froze on it! (who would think that a thin film of water would freeze at 20 degreesF?) Anyway, I heated it up and took into the house to dry.
BTW, I was too cheap to waste a roll of film to practice loading the reel (plastic Paterson) so I just winged it and tried with an exposed test roll in my basement closet - it actually was very easy to do, the reel worked great.
Here is one of the first images - really just a test and scanned on a really crap scanner (4490). I am anxious to find a Nikon 9000. This is HP5+, I used Ilfosol S....

I get dibs on the 4490 when you get your Nikon 9000 if you have all the film scanning stuff.

Thanks Stephanie, I just got the 4490, and I think it will go back to the store. I am a little spoiled by a Coolscan V I use for 35mm ( that you should call dibs on when I find a 9000!)
I think can do a lot better - with both the camera and the processing - I already have dust all over the negs!!

The fact that I shoot mostly 35mm may make me take you up on that dibs thing...a good dedicated 35mm scanner (even though I swore I wasn't going to get another one) may be the way to go.
