I took the kids out for a walk along Hammonasset Beach's nature trail and shot a test roll. Got home and developed the roll of HP5 (400) in HC 110 dilution D. Rover gave me a useful last minute tip, and here goes...

Thanks for all the useful stuff I learned from you guys!

They look good, congratulations.

I need to ask you tomorrow about camera shops along the shore line. I checked stock tonight, I need some more fixer.

Thanks. I have no idea about camera shops on the shoreline. I usually go to Milford Photo. They usually have Ilford Rapid Fixer. If not, they will order it for you.

Yeah, then we can just order GALLONS of chemicals!

Thank you, Joe.

OK, Joe is in, we will show him the secret handshake later.

Ray, if in the Hartford area, Simmonds Photographic in East Hartford is a good source for darkroom stuff. It is really disappointing that there are so few real camera shops in CT.

Awesome! Looks great.. one work of warning, developing is almost as addictive as rangefinders. I love it, even the smell of fixer. Just finished doing a couple of rolls of P3200TMZ pushed to 6400 (from a party in a dark bar) and scanning now.

It really is like magic, having those strips of cellulose come out with something other than a strip of black or a strip of clear.

Ray, those are very good......... SO good, in fact, that you didn't leave much room for improvement. I don't remember MY first try at developing turning out anywhere near THAT nice.

Way to go!! :)

Thanks again. Yes, Taffer, I felt like a kid learning to ride a bicycle. Now, I'm starting to check out bulk loaders on Ebay, too. Geez...
