Hi all,

just got my first film developed, shot with Bessa R and Jupiter 3. 🙂 with Agfa Portrait 160. It was so much fun to use that I shot most of the film in half an hour. 😀 Now I look at the results: Most of the photos seem really sharp.
The man in the bus was shot at 1.5 and 1/60th, i think the bokeh is quite nice.

Whats really new to me with this camera is the way I see a composition through the finder. Seeing the framelines of your shot AND everything thats going on around it is a whole new way of seeing while photographing... for me. Well I am looking forward to seeing my next film developed Fuji 1600, where I did mostly people and portraits. And tried J-3, J-8 and I-61.

I think this will be a lasting relationship between me and bessa 😀

These are nice looking shots with a lot of character to the image quality. I like that Jupiter-3! Did you scan the negs yourself?

Your bus shot reminds me a little this one that I took in Sri Lanka with my R3A + Nokton:

Nice shots!! I am totally enamoured with my Bessa R J8 combo. I take it every where and it shoots great. Still waiting for some time to develope my first b/w shot with it though. Keep up the good shooting!!

I just bought a roll of Fuji 1600 at Ritz camera. They had one roll. Can not wait to try it also. Did you expose it at 1600 or less?

Thanks for all your comments!
I have an epson scanner and it does a poor job with negs. So I only scan negs for preview. These scans are from 4x6 prints.

I shot the Fuji 1600 at 1600. Also first time I used it. I tried the Ilford 3200 before. I just love being able to take photos regardless of how little light is available. 🙂

I know what you mean. Once in a while I think Leica is the solution to all my problems. But with Bessa R (and fed 2 🙂 ) I dont know why I would need to spend that much more on a leica. Getting a CV 35mm will make me even more happy though 😀
