froyd--thanks for the update. "Big Boy" was the nickname for that engine--it was a huge engine built by Alco for the Union Pacific RR--for the specific purpose of hauling trains over the Wasatch mountains. Only about 20 were built; several still exist, but none are running. That particular engine was bought by a fellow in Dallas who spent nearly a million $ to restore it, only to find that it is too heavy to run on today's rail lines...

Answer: Yes, The 2.8f Summaron comes in M-mount, in LTM-mount and in the so-called "convertible" mount. The last one has a removable M-mount (not the same as an LTM/M converter) that can be screwed off after removing a small set screw. All these lenses are essentially the same as far as build and lens formula is concerned, although there are small differences in the coating.

Is this lens have the ability to be rangefinder coupled?

Yes, all versions are rangefinder coupled.

Yes, this lens has an M mount.

Yes, the Summaron is RF coupled

Ilford XP2 is developed with the standard C-41 color negative process. It is essentially a color film with black dyes instead of color.
