froyd--thanks for the update. "Big Boy" was the nickname for that engine--it was a huge engine built by Alco for the Union Pacific RR--for the specific purpose of hauling trains over the Wasatch mountains. Only about 20 were built; several still exist, but none are running. That particular engine was bought by a fellow in Dallas who spent nearly a million $ to restore it, only to find that it is too heavy to run on today's rail lines...
